Varadero, Cuba, Opens the Doors

The beauty of Cuba awaits Canadians. (Cuba Tourist Board)

On October 15, 2020, Varadero opens the doors within a specific area to international tourists. Within the safe tourist corridor, between K Street and Punta Hicacos, tourists will have a choice of several four- and five-star hotels, a golf course, two marinas, Dolphin Park, two shopping plazas and additional restaurants and services. Tours and excursions will also be available within the approved zone. All services must be paid by credit card or debit-visa from Canadian banks. All hotels will include a medical team consisting of a doctor, a nurse and an epidemiologist specialist who will monitor your health throughout your stay. At this stage, the free PCR test is maintained for arrivals at the airport. Equally, you must travel with COVID-19 insurance, and if this is not possible, then you have to buy Cuban medical insurance coverage at the airport upon arrival at the cost of US$30.
